Aunt Jess’ Weeknight Miso Ginger Pork Ramen

I made this on a night when I wanted something warm and easy, and it turned out really balanced — light broth, a little sweetness from the cabbage, and enough pork to make it feel like a full meal. Writing it down so I can make it again.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 container Trader Joe’s Miso Ginger Broth (32 oz)
  • 2–3 cups water
  • 3–4 cups shredded cabbage (Napa or green)
  • 12 oz ramen noodles
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground pork in a large pot.
  2. Add ginger and garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add the shredded cabbage and let it wilt.
  4. Pour in the miso ginger broth and soy sauce.
  5. Add 2–3 cups water to keep the broth light.
  6. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  7. Add the ramen noodles and cook until tender.
  8. Adjust seasoning if needed.
