Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

An oatmeal inspired by French Women Don’t Get Fat by Mireille Guiliano. This book does have a peanut butter-banana oatmeal, but I go this idea when the idea of grated apple got into my head. Grated apple, with the peel and everything, no sugar necessary. Perfecto! Plus a bunch of cinnamon = love! 

 

 

Ingredients:
Oatmeal, 1/2 cup rolled oats
Water, about a cup
Little sprinkle of salt
1 apple, grated
2 TSP cinnamon
 
I microwaved the oatmeal, water, salt and apple for about five minutes and added the cinnamon. Not a super complex breakfast, but grating apple is laborious! It adds quite a bit of water, so you may want to cook it a bit longer to let more water out. But it is tasty divine!
